Wedding pictures are available at www.jusspress.com/GindyWen. Let me know if you want originals and which ones you want. Thanks!

Wow! It's been a long time since I made an entry! So sorriez! I just finished with my sister's wedding. It was absolutely beautiful.  It was a true tear jerker, but very beautiful. Everything was beautiful, especially my sister, and the ceremony was gorgeous, and full of love. Our whole family cried it seemed, which was a first. We will miss our Tracy, but we know that she will be well taken care of by God and Josh.

So here's my toast that I did for them. Enjoy.

First off, I want to congratulate Tracy and Josh their new life together.   Your love for each other and God has truly been reflected not only in this day, but throughout your whole relationship. My greatest wish for the two of you is that through the years your love for each other will continue to deepen and grow, and that years from now you will look back on this day, as the day you loved each other the least.

With that said,

Tracy, you’re not only my sister, but my best friend, but my lifelong partner. From pampers, to elementary school, to volleyball, tennis, and college… we were inseparable. You have always been the person I laugh with, the person I can cry with, and the person that I can confide in. You have been my encourager and my best friend, my other half, or gintwin as others have called it.  There are not enough words to describe how much you mean to me.  I am truly thankful to God to have you in my life.

It seems that today, we begin a new page in our life, and I want to remind you and let you know that I have always cherished being your sister. Your one of the people I have always looked up to.  You caring and sincere in all that you do, a great listener, and you have such an earnest heart to follow God’s ways.  You have been an inspiration to me.

I was reading a verse in Proverbs that reminded me of you. It was talking about the benefits of having wisdom.  It said, “Her ways are pleasant, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who embrace her, and those who lay hold of her will be blessed.” You have truly been and continue to be a blessing in my life, and in the lives of those around you.

Josh, you have been like the brother I have never had, I will never forget the time I met you and you used to chew on Kleenex in Sunday school. Those were interesting days.  You have always found ways to make me laugh, but more importantly you have always been there for both me and Tracy to lend a helping hand.  For instance, I remember the time we had to move flagstone for my dad on a hot summer’s day and you helped us with it instead of going on a hot date with Tracy.

At first, I was a little sad that you are taking Tracy away from me, but now I see that I’m not losing a sister, but gaining a brother and a new member of our family.   I have seen how much you love Tracy, and how much she loves you, and I know that you will take care of her as you both grow to become the people God would have you to be.  I wish you much happiness, success and love.  May God bless this union, and may it continue to be glorifying to Him. May the Lord’s face shine upon you, be gracious to you, and give you peace.  I love you both.   So let’s toast to Josh and Tracy and their new lives together.

Something else for me to think about..

" I know O Lord, that a man's life is not his own; it is not for man to direct his steps.. "  Jerimiah 10: 23.. I came across this verse when I went to church today with lila. The message was on Jeremiah and how He was able to trust God during a time of a many trials..

"For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength"  1 Corninthians 1:25

So many times I try to understand what God wants, or why certain things happen the way that do, but I realize that God's wisdom is so much greater than ours..And when it comes to his plans for us, we may not see the whole picture, or understand it or even like it, but we should trust that He sees the whole picture, and He knows our hearts and what's good for us better than we ever will. It's just like Abraham or Noah trusted God... Abraham didn't know how God was going to bless him and prosper his family when he only had one son, but in the end God keeps His promises, and He always will. I think in terms of my own life, I need to let go, and let Him lead me more, and though it frustrates me that I don't always see what's in front of me, or how things are going to happen, I need to trust that He does and take joy that I have a Father in heaven that always takes care of me better than I ever could.  Hope you all have a good week!

Isn't this cute! Lol~ I saw this at the Precious Moment's Chapel, really need to get this one... haha! that place is really cool too, you should look at those pics too for all the Precious Moment's collectors, come to KC, I will take you there! ;)

This past weekend I got to go to San Jose for my cousin's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding, and I was so happy for my cousin Paul, and I want to congratulate both him and Lori ( I hope I spelled it right) on their new life together. God truly has blessed us with the gift of marriage. It was so awesome to see how the Lord was glorified through their union together. It really spoke to me and showed me how beautiful God intended for marriage to be, especially when you wait on His timing and let Him be the center of that relationship.  I was reading 1 Corinthians 7 the other day.. really spoke to me as it reminded me not only of the importance of marriage, but also the gift of being single, and how much more devoted we can be toward Him in all that we do and accomplish; verses 32 through 35 really spoke to my heart... made me think a lot about what God wants for me right now. Praise God for His wisdom!

" an unmarried woman or virgin is concerned about the Lord's affairs: Her aim is to be devoted tot he Lord in both body and spirit..." 1 Corinthians 7:34..This is definitely something I feel God is urging me to do, and I pray that I can strive for it until He shows me otherwise..

Seeing my family was a definite plus and I mean my whole family! I even got to see my granmother's half brothers, and their families. That was cool! Did you know that my (half?) uncles are half Jamaican! I thought that was so cool! I almost forgot that my cousin Paul (who just got married) is a quarter Jamaican (i think). That was cool!

If you want to see pics of the wedding please go to www.jusspress.com/Gindywen.. I hope you like!

Sigh, but yeah the weekend was quick, but we made the most out of it. I loved seeing all my cousins, and catching up with them. they are all growing up so fast.. I miss them a lot.. It makes me wonder where i'm headed this next year. In September I think i will start traveling, unless they want me to stay in Kansas city one more year.. we will see. I'm really praying about this.. Part of me really wants to go home, and be where I'm comfortable. I miss my family and friends, and my church! Not that i don't love my fellowship here, but I guess church is like home to me, and i miss serving there too.. all my kids! But the other part of me feels so drawn to explore more, and seek God in a different place.. sigh.. we will see where God takes me.. I remember that verse..

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him,  He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6.. This is so tough to do, but I think about it everyday and try my best to not rely on my own wisdom, but His...

Oh yeah! And i had the best sushi while i was in Oakland! Thanks Agnes for sharing! I totally loved it, especially the dessert. Green tea tempura ice cream with rasberry... filling? i'll say stuff for lack of a better word.. haha.. but it was so good, I will never forget it.. here are some pics....

Thanks Agnes for sharing! Hugs* loved it..can't you tell?!

Ooh yeah! i got to see Elaine too! That was cool, she is such a sweetie, I'm so blessed to have met so many awesome people in Kansas city.
